At the Creamberry school of sewing you are able to learn patterncutting. Step by step you will learn to make your own fitted patterncuttings that you can change to your needs.

You will be guided to your designmaking dream.

This step-by-step introductory pattern cutting course will introduce you to the basic techniques for womenswear. For womens clothing we’ll be working from a standard size 12 template (block) and you’ll investigate how to make a range of pattern pieces for the bodice, skirt and sleeve... The original patterns are from London College of Fashion, where I studied Design technology for the womens market.

The goal ist to be able to make all patterncutting and to stop spending money on badly fitted patterncuttings.

Your equipment for the class is:

• Patterncutting Paper
• Pen
• Paper scissors
• Patternmaker ruler

• BASIC BODICE BLOCK

In this class you will learn all about grading.

Pattern grading is a technique for creating different sizes of a finished pattern. The initial pattern is created in a base size (not the smallest size), usually a size 10 or size 12.

Once you have a pattern that is perfected, the pattern can be  made in the other sizes by increasing or decreasing the pattern at set (or cardinal) points.

In the first place I will teach you to size the templates in to your size with your measurements.
